Maestro, a Pperuvian Victor Grandson, is a magnificent looking true-black male with long staple length and a beautiful shiny fleece. He has a nice bite and good conformation. Comments about his fleece from spin-off competitions include very nice, beautiful, shiny, bright, soft, and lovely yarn. In addition to his 1st and 2nd place halter placings Maestro has done well in fleece and spin-off competition as well, with four 1st place ribbons, one 2nd place and one 4th place. In his 2005 AWE 4th place showing his fleece score was just two points less than 2nd place and only a half point less than 3rd. He also equaled or exceeced 1st place in 7 of the 10 fleece quality characteristic categories. Maestro is a nice, medium size male weighing about 165 pounds at age three. When you see him in the pasture he is a very attractive looking alpaca who holds his head high with a commanding presence. He has a good temperament, is easy to handle, has a great orgle, and a good instinct for when a female is ready or not. Maestro's first cria, a beautiful dark brown female, was born September 7,2006 to a dark fawn dam. Her name is Kina, she weighed 18.6 lbs at birth and by three weeks of age was up to 33.6 lbs, nearly double her birth weight and at three months weighed more than 55 lbs. She is a bundle of energy and a joy to watch, and has a nice shiny fleece similar to Maestro's. Maestro's second cria was born June 26, 2007 to a white dam. She is a beautiful light brown with long staple length and nice bright, curly, and crimpy looking fleece. Her name is Tiara. She is a strong, active cria weighing 21.8 pounds at birth.Mobile breeding available up to 100 miles one-way from Woodland, WA. This service limited to initial breeding and one repeat if needed. If more trips are necessary there will be a charge. |
